Artistic gourmet Grigoriy Volkov. 

Grigoriy Volkov was born on July, 31, 1959 in the village of Krutoy Bereg not far from Poltava. He studied in the local school, in Poltava children’s artistic school. He graduated from Kharkov state artistic college and then Kharkov state University. According to his education he is an artist-pedagogue. For about 30 years Grigoriy Volkov has been teaching children to draw, to paint, to see the beauty around them.

 
From the very beginning of his exhibition activities Grigoriy Volkov is the author of still lives, portraits, landscapes. The artist chooses plain motifs of his pictures. In his still lives we can see quiet life of objects, without bright contrasts, showy composite devices. 
The objects stand in a row making musical accords and pauses. The artist pays great attention to the material, its viscosity, expressiveness of its texture. 

Grigoriy Volkov affirms the plain artistic, truth – search of colorful harmony, based on subtle chromatic shades.
